Abstract:

This rationale presents research on the effects of ratios and group sizes on babies in center-based child care. As part of the Charting Progress for Babies in Child Care project, this rationale supports the Policy Framework’s Recommendation #6: Ensure that babies and toddlers in centers are in small groups with sufficient numbers of providers.
