Abstract:
The first in a series of WIA program updates, this publication provides an initial review of WIA participation data from the first year of the program, July 2000-June 2001, which begins to describe the impact that WIA implementation has had on the countrys workforce development system. The data are organized into four groups: total WIA population, adults, dislocated workers, and youth. The program update concludes with state-by-state tables that further synthesize the data.
