Abstract:
Presents the findings from policy case studies of nine states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and Oregon. The case studies describe policy decisions likely to affect microenterprise initiatives serving TANF families, such as work and participation requirements, treatment of income and assets, and supportive services.
