Abstract:

These comments, submitted to the Civil Rights Center of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), concern the Revised DOL Recipient Limited English Proficiency Guidance, issued on May 29, 2003. The Guidance offers a needed opportunity to address the gaps in services that currently exist for people who are not fluent in English. These comments express CLASPs general support for the Guidance and offer a few recommendations to consider when finalizing it.
