Abstract:
These comments, submitted to the Administration for Children and Families Office of Information Services of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, urge the government to clarify or expand portions of the data it collects on Head Start children, families, teachers, and programs and then distributes via the Program Information Report (PIR). The PIR data also provide important contextual information for policy debates in Congress about the future direction of the Head Start program.
