Abstract:
This testimony, presented to the Senate Finance Committee on May 16, 2002, recommends that the child support distribution legislation sponsored by Senators Snowe (S. 918) and Kohl (S. 916) be incorporated into TANF reauthorization legislation. The testimony also raises concerns about a marriage waiver demonstration program that the Administration proposes to pay for with child support funds.
