Abstract:
The author argues that Torah study must retain its place at the center of Jewish life if Jewish life is to continue at all. He reviews positive aspects of Torah study, including its effect on our motivation to perform good deeds, its sociological effects, and its applicability and accessibility for Jews of all backgrounds and upbringings.
