Abstract:
The author describes the problems faced by Jewish families with a strong desire for continuity, but lacking solid knowledge of the Jewish tradition, which the author describes as a phenomenon growing more common. Jewish social service agencies can help these families by providing them with the Jewish knowledge and experiences they seek, the author contends. She illustrates this trend by detailing a case from her agency, Jewish Family Service of Baltimore, MD.
