Abstract:
The Commission on the Structure, Function and Priorities of the Organized Jewish Community of the National Conference of Jewish Communal Service (NCJCS) recently released a report and recommendations, as well as a survey of NCJCS membership. This prompted a scathing responses from the Association of Jewish Community Organization Personnel (AJCOP) and the Association of Jewish Community Relations Workers (AJCRW). The author, writing for NCJCS, asserts that AJCOP and AJCRW have misunderstood the commission's report, erroneously conflating the opinions of survey respondents with the opinions of NCJCS.
