Abstract:
Drawing on her experience as a family therapist, the author discusses syndromes common to single-parent, Jewish, middle- or lower-class families, where "single-parent" means not unwed motherhood, but rather that a formerly married couple with child(ren) has experienced either divorce, separation or a death of one of the parents.
