Abstract:
Nursing home administration in the Jewish community has been at the center of controversy for quite some time. This article examines the many reported scandals that have taken place at senior living communities managed by Orthodox Jewish families. Despite the obvious lack of accountability, these families still receive funding from government sources. The article describes the lack of effective auditing that exists in the relationship between the managing families and donors.
