Abstract:
Among the common myths of Jewish culture are: ‘every Jew is rich and there are no Jewish poor’ and ‘Jewish people are too few to represent any serious problems.’ The author attempts to debunk these myths by examining the truths and underlying causes of the Jewish poor. The author suggests that there first needs to be a standard recognized definition of the term 'poor' before any real improvement can be made.
