Abstract:
During all of these stages (of 100 years of history), there has always been a division of power in the American Jewish community: between secular and religious interests,
between local and national bodies and between differing ideological groups. Our new agenda and focus have moved us in the direction of greater Jewish unity, and this in turn has created pressure for a greater concentration of power.
