Abstract:
The author argues that it is a Jewish communal role and responsibility to lend a sensitive presence to the struggle encountered by all who are involved in remarriages. Of extreme importance is the manner in which the Jewish community responds through its symbolic representatives in the synagogue world, educational instititions, community centers, and family agencies.
