Abstract:
The authors present data showing that American college and university faculty are disproportionately politically liberal in comparison to American society in general. Key ideologies include criticism of American foreign and domestic policy, trust of global institutions and mistrust of American unilateralism, and skepticism about business, global corporations and capitalism. They question whether faculty should be teaching their personal ideologies and present recommendations to protect the integrity of higher education.
