Abstract:

This report examines Jewish households headed by a single adult in the metropolitan New York area. Data are drawn from the UJA-Federation's "Jewish Community Study: 2002." Information is provided about population estimates, geographic distribution, gender, marital status, age (of both adult and children), education, employment, economic status, human service needs, health insurance coverage, residential status, Jewish connections, and the cost of being Jewish.
