Abstract:
Whether or not Iran has really suspended its military nuclear program, pressure on Tehran must continue. The National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) released in December 2007 offers an opportunity to escape United States debate on Iran. The US can embrace a new strategy that pursues both the short-term goal of arms control and the long-term goal of democracy in Iran.
