Abstract:
The author identifies models of excellence for Jewish early childhood education and documents outstanding educational work that is currently taking place. Examples must meet two criteria: (1) The program must conform to the standards of excellence found in the general field; (2) The program must contribute something significant in its Jewish dimension. Programs include a variety of preschool and early childhood education centers and initiatives from across the United States.
