Abstract:
The author explores the changing needs and interests of the American Jewish community over time. He discusses the recent explosion of interest in spirituality for Americans in general as well as for Jews. He argues that Jewish spirituality can serve to reconnect Jews to Jewish tradition in order to mitigate the effects of assimilation and intermarriage.
