Abstract:
This report discusses how Jewish communal organizations can reach out to single adults. Recommendations are based on interviews with 23 "key informants" (people knowledgable about the single adult scene) as well as eight focus groups. Primary recommendations for organizations: create a welcoming approach; invest financial resources in programming for singles; avoid the pejorative connotation of programs labeled as being "for singles"; establish a new entity for young adults; and bring more young adults into the governance structure.
