Abstract:

This report includes findings and recommendations from the JWB Commission on Maximizing Jewish Educational Effectiveness in Jewish Community Centers (COMJEE). The Commission visited and studied thirty-two Jewish communities in order to assess: 1) achievable goals for JCC Jewish education; 2) existing successful programs; 3) what more JCCs can and should do to increase effectiveness; and 4) how the JCC views itself as a Jewish educational instrument in relation to other organizations.
