Abstract:
The authors assert that many Jewish Community Centers (JCCs) have begun to rethink the traditional concept of membership and to develop new membership and service models. The recent trend is marked by a move away from long-term membership towards more casual consumer mentalities. The authors present examples of some of these new models as implemented by JCCs in MetroWest, NJ, Baltimore, MD, Columbus, OH, and Denver, CO.
