Abstract:
Three synagogues in Greater Hartford, Connecticut were selected to be part of an initiative called La'atid: Synagogues for the Future. This initiative invited the synagogues to evaluate how they can nurture a strong sense of Jewish identity, knowledge, and living for all ages. They also discussed what a should congregation do to help its community members live richer Jewish lives. The article describes the initiative, its philosophy and its outcomes.
