Abstract:

There is broad agreement, according to the author, on the need for Jewish communities to establish funding priorities. More in contention, the author explains, are the criteria by which communities might rank their priorities. He outlines some contenders for priority status along with their respective justifications. The author concludes that in the absence of clear and ageed-upon criteria, Jewish organizations should seek to make their processes of making priorities as inclusive and balanced as possible.
