Abstract:
The American Jewish communal field ought to use Israel programmatically, the author asserts. He argues that Jewish youth of high school age and young adults should make pilgrimages there, and communal leaders ought to support its institutions and to visit in order to observe the fruits of their donations. The author describes projects and community centers he visited in Israel in order to highlight Israel's status, accomplishments and needs.
