Abstract:
The author examines the psychological and social dynamics of Jewish families as compared to non-Jewish (specifically Christian) families, with an eye toward understanding famillies not as collections of disparate individuals, but as wholes exceeding the sum of their parts. The author draws on Jewish and Christian texts to discuss gender, parenthood, love, sex and other issues.
