Abstract:
The author describes a community plan for services to the elderly undertaken by the Jewish community of St Louis, in order to take a coordinated approach in serving all of the elderly's needs, including casework services, medical care, institutional care, recreation, religious services and companionship. The author describes which specific responsibilities for planning and execution were taken by each agency involved, and the shared principles under which all agencies operated in this endeavor.
