The author describes, in general terms, the group counseling performed by her agency, Jewish Community Services of Long Island, NY. She outlines the dempgrahics of clients, their most common problems, and the unique dynamics provided by group sessions. She further describes the role of the counselor in facilitating these dynamics, and provides a case illustration.
