Abstract:
The author asserts that the American Jewish community and the State of Israel need one another, and therefore American Jewish organizations have an interest in promoting aliyah (Jewish emigration to Israel) at a greater rate than is presently occurring. The author reviews why and how Jewish community centers can promote aliyah.
