Abstract:

The author asserts that many kibbutzim in Israel lack social workers who can assist members who feel they have no opportunities for self-expression or the satisfaction of their social and emotional needs. The author describes a training program for kibbutz social workers designed to respond to this need, explaining the history of the program and its results thus far.
