The author discusses considerations affecting Jewish social services workers, both as differentiated from non-sectarian practitioners, and as applies to the non-sectarian field as well. The author discusses traditional Jewish legal views of medical and social services, as well as dilemmas faced by modern Jewish social workers. Among the topics discussed is how much autonomy clients should be allowed by practitioners, and the special needs of observant Jewish clients.
