The author discusses the experience of her agency, The Jewish Family Service of Philadelphia, with group counseling for the elderly. She details the demographics of groups served, and the issues they face, as well as criteria for group counselor selection, criteria for group membership selection, roles and ground-rules for the groups, and the stages through which group work progresses.
