Abstract:
The author advocates restructuring Israeli social service provision to remove the separation between social service ministries and general ministries. For example, under the author's plan, housing assistance for the poor would be provided by the same Ministry of Housing that regulates housing issues for everyone. The ideal, in the author's opinion, is a highly prestigious , professional network of personalized services to all citizens, not only the poor, but to anyone who might use them.
