Abstract:

The author outlines the many dimensions of the issue of the Right to Die: religious issues as expressed by traditional Judaism, Catholicism and Protestantism, medical and technological aspects, legal issues and political considerations. While it is crucial to involve the perspective of experts in all of these fields in deliberations relating to end-of-life issues, the author argues that it is also vital to keep the general public as informed as possible regarding the state of the public discussion.
