Abstract:

This is a reprinting of an article that appeared in the pages of this Journal nearly fifty years ago that focused on a very different immigrant population than is seen today. However, the editor states that it is quite relevant to contemporary resettlement work. It is reprinted as an example of the New York Association for New Americans's (NYANA) rich heritage and contribution to the work of resettlement.
