Abstract:
If being Jewish is now a choice, rather than a part of what we have to do, it makes sense to look at it as a leisure-time activity. Jewish Community Centers have the special potential to turn leisure time into an opportunity for Jewish identity formation and Jewish community building. To do so, they must stop being fixed organizations and take risks in search of new ideas.
