Abstract:
The author asserts that American Jews are ignorant about Israeli history and about the range of political discourse found in Israel. He argues that this leads to a narrow discourse about Israel among Jews in the United States. He states that American Jewish papers are at fault for limited reporting and suggests that they include translations of a representative range of political commentary from the editorial and op-ed pages of Israeli papers.
