Abstract:
The great needs of the Russian Jews immigrating to the United States and seeking peace and refuge are a call to the American Jewish community to listen and furnish compassion and help, like the call that Abraham heard imploring him to still his hand and show compassion to his son. As Abraham finally answered, "I am here," so must the American Jewish community.
