Abstract:
The author responds to Dr. Fisberg's recent paper on tuberculosis and considers how social services and medical care for tubercular patients and families at risk can be improved in light of new indications that it is not as contagious as formerly believed and that general family health and economic wellbeing seem to be the greatest predictor of morbidity.
