Abstract:
The author discusses the challenges faced by Jewish social workers in reporting to the boards of charitable institutions. This relatively new profession is not widely understood and the role of the social worker vis-à-vis the board and in relation to the clientele are muddy waters for social workers to navigate. The discussion that follows touches on the diverse responsibilities of social workers as well as the relevance of these professional concerns to the Conference.
