Abstract:
The author looks to the successes YWCA and YMCA movements to find lessons to help build the forty-year old but still fledgling Young Men's and Women's Hebrew Association (YMHA/YWHA) movement. That movement should be religious in nature and focus on developing character, morality and leadership among Jewish youth without being sectarian or narrowly religiously prescriptive.
