Abstract:
The resolution passed by the Fourth New York City Conference of Charities and Correction, in which members relate the heavy costs on families and society due to husbands deserting their families and call upon the New York Commissioner of the Department of Public Charities to establish, at a projected cost of $27,000, a Municipal Desertion Bureau, staffed with lawyers and investigators, to support the work of the Domestic Relations Bureau.
