Abstract:
The author praises and presents highlights from de Sola Pool’s article on Levantine Jews, Sephardic Jews from the Middle East. As a distinctive linguistic and religious community, their social and economic needs as immigrants are only exacerbated. The article presents a snapshot of their situation as well as a list of recommendations to the Jewish community on how to best rise to the challenge.
