The author discusses the problem of publicity and advertizing that is necessary for charitable organizations to raise funds, for example: Can public annual meetings and written annual reports be more effective; how has the shift from individual charities to federations affected fundraising and especially public awareness of communal need; can federations make better connections to the Yiddish press that could facilitate outreach; etc.
