The author explains the purpose and functioning of the Big Brother and Big Sister movement in general, and the creation of the Jewish Big Brother Association, an outgrowth of the work of the Jewish Protectory and Aid Society and the cottage colony that they maintain for delinquent Jewish boys. He praises the apparent results of the program while emphasizing that Big Brothers must be chosen with care and furnished with proper guidelines and support.
