Abstract:
The author suggests that the practice of federating Jewish charitable institutions should be extended to a national level, and argues that a national federation could exert positive influence through extending or withholding sanction of new and existing charities, and thus contributing to quality control, and through providing a point of appeal for organizations who feel that their local federations have failed in the equitable distribution of funds.
