Abstract:

The author outlines the process by which Montreal's new Jewish Court of Arbitration, based on Toronto's model, was established and describes some of the nine cases heard during its first four sittings, including a case of juvenile violence, the suit of a Talmud Torah teacher against the trustees, and others.
