Abstract:
The author describes the girls' summer vocational school, where sewing and other needlework crafts are taught, offered free of charge for girls ages eight through sixteen in the Plum Street Temple of Cincinnati. In exchange for the costs of their education and materials, the girls do work that is sold for the benefit of the school.
