Abstract:

The author describes the steps taken by a Jewish institution for the care of orphans and dependent children to counteract common health problems, including: an increase in both the quality and quantity of food served; cooperation with the city's Contagious Disease Division of the Health Department to avoid admitting children while they or their homes are in incubation for infectious disease; the hiring of a night nurse; etc.
