Founded to coordinate the work of Chicago's many women's clubs, it now comprises sixty-one affiliated bodies. The Conference has been very successful and building ties and fostering collaboration and thus greater efficacy among groups, at raising awareness and bringing in experts and leaders as well as developing among expertise and leadership among its members, and at generally fostering unity in Chicago's diverse Jewish community.
